Cristina Nitopi Showcases a Lively Collection Representing New Beginnings and Growth

Designer Cristina Nitopi shares a new take on minimalism trends as she channels iconic shapes from the 90’s as she launches her latest collection at LAFW on model Casandra Elizabeth Ventura, known professionally as Cassie; an American singer, songwriter, model, actress and dancer with over 10.1million followers on Instagram. Photographed by celebrity artist Jason MacDonald.

With so many designers trying to re-invent the wheel, Nitopi focuses on remaining classic to her iconic sense of style while adding a pinch of innovation to each collection. This is why she is labeled as a “visionary” as it is once more presented as she helps to coordinate world classics with a modern-day style demonstrated through her inventive color blocking in earthy gem tones. She helps to reinvent the fashion wheel, creating chic fits that pair with a resourcefulness sensibility.

Focusing on the feminine shape, the collection is filled with interchangeable pieces that help empower the wearer to create monochromatic or color blocking hourglass silhouettes. With a high focus on pleated detailing on skirts – a classic staple. This offers a collection that can help keep even the busiest of travelers looking and feeling a true chic power in style.

But fashion to Nitopi is more than just about the silhouette. “It takes skill to visualize how a material will fit into a garment – something that I spent years in learning. That is why I invest in the use of high-quality fabric in all my collections and pay close attention to detail on each specific design. You must understand the quality of each fabric to know the limits of each.” Continuing to add that “People often forget that fashion is a powerful form of self-expression. From the collections created from the designers to how they are paired in real life by the individual that wears them. Fashion can be used to communicate our identity, values, and interests to the world around us – not to mention help to either feed or control our emotion.”

It is to no surprise to continue to see Nitopi use fashion and color to connect with people. And while she remains true to her style, she explains that this collection represented new beginnings and growth. Last season she demonstrated the innovative concept of ready-to-wear fashion colliding with luxury tailoring details, allowing others to add their personal touch through the ability to interchange each collection piece amongst themselves or as individual pieces to elevate any day-to-day fit. Nitopi then continued with that momentum, introducing us to a more classic, feminine, approach.

This is why it is continued to be said that Nitopi is “a true fashion innovator” being able to control the narrative in fashion, even if it means to reinvent classics and create a new hunger amongst her viewers demanding style and innovation. Can’t wait to see what Nitopi brings to us next.
