The Week in Tech: Unilever bets on AI and what the heck is going on with Grok?
Marketing Week’s weekly round-up of the technology stories that impact the marketing sector: from AI to martech, regulation to public perceptions.
On the agenda…
By this point everyone knows Unilever loves social media. The company has made quite the point of reiterating it again and again that it sees social media, and influencers more broadly, as the key to growing trust in its brands and, in turn, growing profits.
The CEO is on board. As is the CMO. And now the business has a dedicated AI tool which will make social content creation easier than ever before. Unilever announced on Monday (7 July) the rollout of its Sketch Pro AI tool – developed in partnership with creative production company IPG Studios – to support its home care brands.
Already live in four markets (London, São Paulo, Mumbai and Jakarta), the tool promises to deliver “high quality assets” up to three times faster than traditional methods. Unilever plans to bring the tool to 21 markets by 2026.
